Joan, a New York Times Best-Selling author, shares her true stories of angels and miracles from her book In The Arms of Angels and personally narrates them on audio CDs produced exclusively for Healing with Harmony’s Kits.
"When I heard about Healing with Harmony, I was immediately inspired. It seemed like such a hopeful and peaceful way to reach out to others. I was thrilled that my stories might be a vehicle for comfort, even if just for a few moments, for someone going through a difficult time.
The founders of Healing with Harmony are wonderful people, not just technically talented, but deeply faithful and loving. It was such a joy to work with people who appreciated my writing and shared the same goals. Everything went so smoothly that we all felt that heaven was guiding us.
Although time will tell, the people involved in health care, whom I have told about the spoken word CDs, get a certain sparkle in their eyes when they hear about the project. ‘Where can we sign up?’ is usually their first response. I suppose that's because, more than any other group, health workers know how important the body-mind-spirit connection is, when people try to heal. A patient who can relax and feel genuinely cherished--while going through a treatment---will surely benefit from that treatment, in a variety of ways. Hopefully, Healing with Harmony will be a part of that blessed result, for many years to come.”

An Australian musician, Catherine Duc, produces instrumentals blending Ambient, Celtic, Classical, Electronica and World music. Catherine is a classically trained pianist and has studied recording and production techniques at the Concert Hall in Melbourne. She also has a Diploma in Film Music Composition from The London School of Creative Studies. She was presented with the 'Instrumental Artist of The Year' award at the 16th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards. She has also won first prize in the Electronica category of a national song competition organized by Philips Australia. An interview by Voices and Visions quote Catherine's thoughts on music and healing as, "Music really helps me to relax when I'm busy. Listening to music can make us feel more energetic or calm. When listeners tell me that my music relaxes them after a hard day at work, I feel great that my music can uplift them and give them a quick 'soundscape vacation'. These days, we are all so busy with the day to day activities - we need some time each day to focus on ourselves, recharge and gain balance." I believe that music has the power to promote healing and one of my hopes when composing music is that it will bring joy and peace to others. I am happy to be able to share it with Healing With Harmony.
Marc Enfroy blends beautiful piano melodies with touching orchestral arrangements to create soothing, yet emotionally charged themes like those heard in dramatic film scenes. It's a musical style he calls"Cinematic Piano." Enfroy started writing music in 2006 after losing his sister, an accomplished painter, to skin cancer. “...writing music beneath one of her paintings, became an irresistible escape from the pain,” Marc says. Born of tears, his music began as a fond tribute to the memory of his sister, and while the tears gradually diminished, the music continued to grow."I love good film music but dislike searching through an eight minute track just to hear the one or two minute section I love. So I decided to start writing short themes you might hear in a film."

Winner of the 2009 Whisperings Album of the Year, Set On A Hill (Hillset Records), is the new release from pianist and composer Chad Lawson.
Produced by Grammy Award Winner and founder of Windham Hill Records, Will Ackerman, the album contains 9 original solo piano compositions recorded at Ackerman's studio in Vermont.
It was while touring in Spain with Julio Iglesias where Chad decided it was time to return to center stage. After leading a successful jazz trio for many years, being featured from Starbucks to NPR, while also reaching the top 10 on the national jazz charts and scoring several films, Chad was ready to make the album he had always wanted to create; solo piano.
"This is some of the best music I've heard in years." proclaims Ackerman. If anyone knows the complete element of solo piano recording and all that it entails, it's Will Ackerman. He has mastered his craft of not only his own musicianship, but to those such as George Winston, Michael Hedges and many others as well.
Tima's music reflects some of her many diverse musical and cultural influences. Starting with her father, an accomplished Filipino Jazz musician, to being a student of Chinese Opera. As a young child, she would visit Buddhist temples with her Taiwanese Grandmother and was always mesmerized by the percussion and chants of monks. And on Sundays, she would attend Catholic Mass and get lost in the beautiful sounds of church choirs. Add to this, her love of rock n' roll and you can get a sense of the unique subtile diversity Tima brings to her music.
Tima has released two full-length CDs of her original music, and a 5 song EP of Traditional Christmas Carols. These Christmas renditions offer an organic feel and sound with unique music and vocal arrangements, while maintaining the familiar Christmas melodies we all know and love.
"I have always known and practiced the soothing and healing power of music in my own life. I am so humble and blessed to be able to give my music in hopes it will offer some comfort and peace this Holiday Season."

I was approached by a fellow colleague who was heavily involved with Healing with Harmony. He enjoyed my work and thought I might be a good fit. When I met with the founders, I instantly wanted to get involved. This is an incredibly good cause and it targets an area of healthcare that has traditionally been neglected. There is nothing worse than going through a medical procedure feeling like a lab experiment. Healing with Harmony affirms that the healing process can be much more empowering and pleasant.
Everyone who hears about Healing with Harmony will want to support its efforts. The founders are thoughtful, compassionate professionals who have found a perfect niche for their talents. They could have easily made this a For Profit organization. Just the fact that they are doing this freely out of the goodness of their own hearts is an inspiration for us all.
I am excited about contributing my programs to Healing with Harmony because they target a person's fears, worries, and concerns. Through inspirational stories, deep relaxation, and strategies for feeling calm and in control, you will enter a state that enhances wellness. Your mind is incredibly powerful and these programs will show you how to get the most out of it! God bless you and I look forward to meeting you through Healing with Harmony.

Long after leaving the pressures of classical piano competition, and more than 25 years of personal transitions and many life lessons, Kathryn finally returned to the piano for catharsis, expressing her heartfelt truths through her music with the belief that musical vibrations which are emotionally positive can reach the heart and improve how we relate to each other. Committed to a purity of heart and a peaceful purpose, she felt that the most honest performance she could give was to keep the integrity of each composition by recording each track without any digital editing, thereby offering the entire truth of her emotional expression from start to end. Based on the results of scientific auditory research which reveal how emotional resonance can be felt through music, Kathryn hopes that her music can evoke a sense of personal healing and spiritual connection.

"Over the years, I have repeatedly seen the power that music has to calm, comfort, and heal. Some of my dearest treasures are letters that people have written to me, telling of how they used my music, with some having used it for birthing, and others having used it to comfort a loved one transitioning into the next world. I am thrilled to add my name to the list of incredible musicians supporting Healing With Harmony."

With no formal training in music composition, Christine used the piano to voice emotions and experiences. "Playing the piano is an emotional release, often an escape. To move people with music and to be able to share it with others is truly a joy. My style of composition is sort of classical, sort of new age. I once heard someone describe this piano style as "heavy mental? and I thought it was fairly accurate! Relaxing, yet interesting enough to be introspective. In 1991, Christine debuted on a compilation album, Piano Portraits, with Sugo Records, and following that, Summer Stories. She continues to compose and record her compositions, and has released several CDs, including a Christmas CD and a collection of children?s songs.
Christine?s piano music is available at all major digital download sites, as well as heard on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio at www.solopianoradio.com. Her music is also heard on select Muzak channels, CMS, and Healing Health Care Systems. She resides in the San Diego area with her husband and two sons, who are a source of support and inspiration. I feel music is a healer, both spiritually and physically, and I am proud to be a part of Healing with Harmony. I feel so touched when I hear of how my music has inspired or helped someone get through a difficult time in their lives, an illness, grief or emotional stress. Music has a special connection to the soul, and I feel blessed to be able to share mine."

In the summer of 2009, John Albert Thomas was trying to make ends meet as a full-time piano composer, husband, and father of four children. His business coach encouraged him to find a way to use his musical gifts to serve others. With that in mind, he created a new product called Piano Tributes, which is a piano composition inspired by a real person to be given as a gift.
John was also researching ways to let photographers know about his music for use in their slideshows and videos. When he stumbled upon the website of the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) organization, whose photographers create remembrance portraits for families suffering the loss of a baby, he was moved tears. He felt deeply compelled to create Piano Tributes for some of these families.
He contacted NILMDTS and offered to compose Piano Tributes for ten families. They invited him to post the idea on their family forum and within a week all ten slots were filled. John began interviewing these families right away, but his music business was so slow that he had to delay the project while rebuilding his web development career. Once things stabilized, John was able to reconnect with the families and finish the interviews throughout the next year.
The interview process was very emotional for him. Some families had mixed feelings about sharing their tragic story with a total stranger. A couple of families backed out, but God brought other families to fill in the gap. One of the moms whom John interviewed had never talked with anyone about her miscarriage, but she felt relief and hope as she expressed her grief in words for the first time.
After each interview John would go to the piano with his notes and focus on one or two things that really stood out to him. He tried to capture the emotion of words like "peace", "adventure", "balloons", "angels", "heartbeat" and "heaven". Each baby had his or her own story, and each story took on a life of its own in his mind and through his fingers.
John writes, "This album is about giving. Ten families gave me their tragic stories. God gave me the gift of music. Today I give them to you, hoping that they will provide comfort for the grieving, especially when words aren't enough."
On April 22, 2011, he released the album, Now I Sleep, and it has been well-received by bereavement groups around the world. The music is available for purchase at http://music.johnalbertthomas.com, and can be heard on Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio at http://solopianoradio.com and www.Pandora.com.
"Now I Sleep is an album of healing piano music, designed especially for families who suffer the loss of a baby. I contacted Healing With Harmony because I believe this is a unique and valuable resource is for those who care for these families, and I'm very grateful that they chose to include it in their collection." ~John
